How do i know what options were specified on my car when new? Looking to find out what was standard and what was an option back in 1999 - car is a CLK 320 petrol convertible.
Thanks
What is the best way to make my cloth roof look like new? It has a few mould/mildew spots that won't come off plus it appears to be lightened by the sun in some places. Rear edges have some mould marks too.
So far I've tried normal washing, scrubbing with nailbrush and toothbrush, car shampoo...
Had the car under a year and previous owner didn't look the sort to lower it. However it has aftermarket 18's on so it may be from years ago. Ride height looks about right - when you say tracking, what is adjustable on these on the rears, toe, caster, camber etc. etc.
Have played with...
I have a W208 320 and I'm having to replace the rear tyres. Both are worn on the inside edge which I thought strange. I know aggressive cornering will wear outside edges and tyre pressures can wear middle or both edges, but how do you wear an inside edge? Is camber adjustable on these? The wear...
OK, tensioner is on, it has the tension taken out and is pinned in place so I guess I fit the belt and then release the pin to take up the slack and tension the belt.
No damper on mine, is that due to the cars age ? Should I be looking to fit one for the £30 they cost?
I have a Caliber brand new amp for sale model CA 110.2 - runs 55W RMS per channel or bridged mono 150W RMS. It went on the car for about a week, maybe less and was too strong for the small sub it was running so put my old amp back in. It's boxed with instructions leads etc. etc. as new.
Also...

Been keeping an eye on this and we haven't had a real downpour since my first post - hey presto the belts have dried out!!
Are there any drain holes in the sills or bottom of the doors that need clearing periodically?
Same issue here - light grey, I'm going to try the scrubbing and steaming at the weekend.
Are there any issues pulling the belts right out, don't want to knacker it in the process.
OK, had a search around on the internet including old threads here. Still undecided. 2 Main dealers are quoting same prices so I assume they are correct £210 give or take for the parts. Still waiting on a price from Inchcape. Ebay has a couple of sellers with pattern parts from Germany - under...
On motorway last night and battery charge warning came on the dash, noticed as changing lanes that the steering had gotten heavier and then after another 20 minutes of "I can make it home before it dies" about every warning light came on and I lost power. Taken home on a low loaded as the belt...
