It's knowing where to hit it, literally. If EIS is gone, it needs replacing anyway.

Open car. Place key into the ignition. Listen down by the pedals straight away. If you hear a series of short clicks (they won't be on for long though) you have a faulty EIS. I recover loads like this, although I can normally get the car to run.

If I turn mine off, it stays off until I leave the car for a certain amount of time, say overnight. Then it turns itself back on. It also then resets the FROM START. Mine is a 2017 model, so they may have made it like this on newer models.

You need to do this at the start of every journey when the vehicle has not been used for a certain amount of time. If your 'From Start' has reset, Attention Assist will be reset.
