I would comment, but fear the wrath of the Stazi.

    In or no excusues "out"

The real problem is that parking spaces are made too small. This is why we see this type of behaviour, in order to avoid damage from car doors being opened. A parking space has two functions, parking of the vehicle and allowing entry/exit. If the design of the space is deliberately too small...

Genuine Mercedes Parts: Drastically different Prices in the US vs. Europe?

The stuff I ordered was all Bosch, which I believe was fitted as original by Mercedes.

Genuine Mercedes Parts: Drastically different Prices in the US vs. Europe?

Yes, I have come across this myself. I ordered plugs and coil leads for my previous CLK320 from the US, much cheaper even with shipping costs. It's a blatant rip-off! How can they be cheaper on the other side of the Atlantic?

One of the rarest mercedes, a w208 clk with no rust!

Looks like all the well preserved ones are older. Mine's a 'V' plate as are most of the others, with exception of the 'T'. Maybe it's just me, but it seems the cars that come after about 2001 suffer badly from rust (or should I say, even more so?).

    Beading

Doesn't matter if you're in a hard water area, the rain is the same as in soft water areas. I also live in a hard water area, when I wash the car, I dry it off with a couple of micro fibre cloths. No wax or coating will ever completely shed all water, maybe go for a drive after washing?

Also generally people expect to pay huge repair bills if anything goes wrong with an old Merc. Add to that some rusty wheel arches and the average buyer runs a mile. The W208 is essentially a very reliable car, most if not all problems will be caused by lack of maintenance. Factor in a...

One of the rarest mercedes, a w208 clk with no rust!

I think the earlier cars were better at resisting rust. Some of the older pre-facelift cars have held up pretty well, considering the age they are. Your car looks great BTW and congratulations on finding your very own hens tooth :)

    Intermittent Interior Blower Fan

Update.....It's been a week now and so far the blower is working perfectly. Maybe the piece of grass was the problem, or taking out the motor brushes has re-seated them so they make better contact. Thanks for the replies, guys. Any more thoughts or ideas are most welcome. I'll keep things updated.

    Intermittent Interior Blower Fan

Hi guys. 1999 CLK320 80,000 miles I'm having problems with the interior blower, occasionally it will not work at all. This can be a problem with misted up windows. When it stops working, the display is fully functional, but the blower is completely dead. Then after a while it may start to...

Now its Tyre and Brake Dust Pollution Even Electric Cars

But the real problem is not local, it's global. So China and the US are still producing huge amounts of carbon and the rest of the world moving it's heavy industry to China hasn't solved the problem at all (In fact world wide carbon emissions have increased since industry was shipped out to...
