Isn't that the camshaft position sensor, if so there will be an oil seal around the camshaft which may have failed.

Proffesionals that do these repairs use Helicoils these are much better and more permenant.

Hi guys my W211 estate has the automatic load cover which when closing comes to end of travel and now rattles like a submachine gun for approx 5 seconds. I wondered if anyone has a copy of the factory diagrams and parts schematics so i can sort this. Thanks George.

My 2003 E320 W211 has a audio 20 radio cd and i have noticed thst there is also fibre optics involved can anyone say what the fibre does. As i am going in the morning to see about a new Alpine stereo to be fitted. Thanks.

If your alternator is going faulty it can whine very high pitch mine on my w211 started the whining and new alternator cured it...

Last year my battery failed in my e320 W211 i phoned the likes of TMS, ECP and manbat but the best price came from Mercedes Glasgow delivered to my place of work for £99 and a genuine part so i always phone the dealer first.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost of a full exhaust system for my E320 Cdi W211 Estate.

Hi guys can anyone tell me how to remove the automatic load cover from the back seats of my W211 estate. Or at least if an end plate comes of , one end is rivited on the other does not seem to have any visible fixing. I dont want to remove the wrong end and have the return spring flying out...

The heating element is built into the heating system, from what i remember there is no fuse and the only way to get rid of it is to disconnect the supply cable. I heard once that the cable connection is down near the starter motor, apparently it is a hard part to get to. So i hope it is not that..
