Yep would agree with Dieselman .the rubber is merely cosmetic ,the screen would be bonded and may have been replaced in the past ,if you pull off the covers around the pillars and have look at the sealant around the window it may give you a clue .

Sounds funny alright ,Check the fitment of the booster ie connections ets ,if all ok i would try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it ..

Where is the comfort comtrol module located ?Is it with the central locking unit in the boot or under the back seat ? I have to say this is great to hear i have always wanted electric leather seats,But thought it was impossible or too much work .

I would be intrested in getting all the part numbers off you for fitting electric seats to a "non electric seat" car ,So if i heve this straight all i need is my electric seats door cards etc ,loom ,and comfort module ?It seems fairly straight forward ,Is it a case of plug and play with the loom...

Might be worth looking at the ball joints top and bottom on both sides ,

Reckon nut splitter is the best option ! Had to do a fairly simular job myself ,nut splitter done the job .

I think there is hidden damage ,From the pic it looks if the bonnet is creased .

What is the milage ? Might be worth getting the emissions checked too.
