    Buying advice for W204 C180 Estate 2012-2013

Great, looks like the M274 engine should be inside a 2012/2013 C180… does anyone know how to check the engine model under the hood? Mercedes M274/M270 1.6/2.0L Engine Review The Mercedes-Benz M274/270 is a series of 1.6 and 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engines for front- and rear-wheel...

    Buying advice for W204 C180 Estate 2012-2013

Thanks Mike, I’ll try and read up a bit more thdn to see when this M274 engine came into play ( first I’ve heard of it so just shows I didn’t read up too well) Honestly I think these C Class Estates look beautiful and coming from a Hyundai Veloster with its quirky 3rd rear passenger door I can’t...

    Buying advice for W204 C180 Estate 2012-2013

Researching the W204 (S204 to be more specific) has highlighted a possible timing chain issue, is this problem overhyped on these 1.6 and 1.8 petrol engines as I thought MB engines were tough as nails if looked after? I’m looking to buy a petrol 2012-2013 C180 with around 59-60k miles… should...

B Class Aircon makes a hissy whispy sound through air vents and loss of cold air

B Class Aircon makes a hissy whispy sound through air vents and loss of cold air

OK I'll locate a mobile A/C specialist as this seems to be the next logical step. In the mean time I just took it back to Kwik Fit who kindly regassed it free of charge as it only lasted the 45 days from last time, again they found no leak... wonder if I could keep bringing it back for free...

B Class Aircon makes a hissy whispy sound through air vents and loss of cold air

I've had my a/c re-gassed 3 times now in the last 12 months, my local independent garage did it twice (April 2016 and September 2016) and the most recent was 35 days ago at Kwik Fit - none of them could find a leak and now it has lost it's cold air again :( I do hear a strange...

    W245 speaker sizes?

I had to admit defeat and pay a specialist to change over my speakers... it's pretty hard to get the door cards off without the proper tools.. I only had a cheap set of trim tools from Ebay which weren't up to the job... the tools the shop used were pretty heavy duty in comparison.... and mainly...

How to remove the Audio 20 Mercedes B Class W245

I'll go with you then Alfie over that website I linked, thanks. So the next question is, will upgrading the aftermarket speakers rated at 40W RMS (150W max) prove ineffective if the headunit only supplies 20w per speaker? I'm just trying to improve the sound quality at a higher volume level...
