I tried a spot in the boot and it seems to work. There is an elastic strap on the right side, under the filler cap area that seems to hold the wallet vertically and quite well, so perhaps that is where the powers at MB intended for it to go. Unless of course it is meant for something else.

There's an airbag where mine should be. MB added a storage box between the seats to compensate but it is hardly practical.

I know about the service booklet in my cab, it's the rest of it I don't know where to keep. :-)

They are the main dealer here and they said they could not get the spring as it has been discontinued. I spoke to a UK dealer, and he said he could only get the spring as part of a complete seatbelt assembly, not on its own, although the other part apparently they could get on its own.

I tried the Inchscape site, they wouldn't deliver to me as I was not in the UK. Can anyone recommend a German supplier?

Does anyone have the small circular pre-tentioner spring and the small round plastic ring for the base of the seat belt bracket where it is bolted to the sill? It seems in the past someone in frustration must have thrown them away when trying to put the seat belt back on.

Thing is these are now 20+ years old. Even if you find a well looked after one chances are it will need some bits and pieces sorting out, however good it looks at first. To get it near perfect, budget for the loom and head gasket (e320) if they haven't been done and also a refresh of the bushes...
