Hi how did you remove the white actuator from where it is fitted,mine hisses but i was worried that i would break as i could not see how this comes apart.Does the link rod stay in situ,any info or picture would be appreciated.regards.

Update finally changed rear bearing in situ on car,used a two piece bearing pull to break out the hub by placing behind and using wheel bolts to jack out increasing the movement with metal shims,although this ruined the brake back plate,screw jacked the wheel bearing out and in,found a you tube...

Hi,looking for drawing or info on how to replace the white plastic air driven actuator for the tailgate lock. Actuator hissing untill lock opens or closes seems to cause lag for filler flap motions. Trying to resolve headlamp levelling which is not working.

Hi thanks for info coalville,removed tailgate cover and found air supply to lock hissing which created a lag in opening filler flap,once filler flap open hissing stops. Will this be the cause of headlamp levelling not working. Lubricated all parts on lock but lock will not turn with key. Anyone...

no,it was from the scrapyard which i removed,unable to try insitu car had no battery or compressor. The hissing on mine is only from the thumbwheel,you have to put your ear next to. The replacement thumb wheel is hissing exactly like the original,so i seem to think that is normal like an exhaust...

Pipes can be bought seperately with o rings fitted from MB,o rings kits are available on ebay made from viton which is remarked as being longer lasting than the original rubber.I replaced all of mine, as i was of the opinion that one was leaking than others were sure to be in a similar...

Anybody used the kits for drilling out seized glowplugs that are advertised on ebay for about £100,i have been charged £50 a plug to remove,which mercedes contracted out to a specialist to do the work.
