What was the cost to replace the timing gear, or was that the 1.8k you mentioned, I would think much better to repair your engine unless catastrophic damage done when chain jumped.

Clay bar the paintwork, then Panel Wipe, should be good to go then.

Not 100% sure but I think it relates to the Transmission gear position switch, which I think is on the outside of the box somewere, hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to help.

My E class used to creak badly when backing of the drive and going to full lock, turned out to be N/S/F bottom balljoint, again no play only got found by spraying everything with WD40 at the garage.

Yipeee, all good passed with 1 minor defect that has now been sorted.

To be fair, I think the garage I take it to do this and then present it for test, just hoping it passes first time, spent some money on it in the last 2 months.

Hi Guys, Possible stupid question but my car is going for MOT Test in the morning and the reverse lights have packed up, possible switch, are they part of the test? I am assuming yes but not sure. Will need to get them checked out.
