Take the SL55 to Ed's once a year and am amazed at his attention to detail. Also has the Kamikazi coating!!

Simon, Had a secondary heat exchanger fitted to my SL55 and so far no overheating issues. May also consider moving to a 77mm as currently on 84mm but may wait until I read your experiences!! Work was done by PCS and heat exchanger is from C&R. Here is a pic.

Made my annual visit to PCS for a service and MOT on the SL55. Dropped off at 08.30 and picked up at 13.00. No fuss, efficient as usual. Thanks to Olly, Natacha and the boys!! Hope you enjoyed the cakes.

I am having to move from Direct Line as I have modifications on my SL55 and they say due to new policy they no longer insure modified cars!!

Have had my SL55 sorned for the last 6 months and want to bring it out of hibernation for 1st April. My current insurer have tighted up their rules and will not accept the modifications so need to find a new insurer a bit more flexible. Any suggestions?

As its a 500E not AMG.

It's for a friend so will find out what it is. Apparently is looking at more than one so wanted to check who could inspect it when he has decided. May not be a classic as thought he was looking for a 500e.

Can anybody recommend somebody for inspection of classic mercedes in Surrey?
