In the first MB I owned ( 2010 E class 200 cdi) the artico was split in two on the driver's seat, and there were several in the sales room the same. But that was about 5 years ago, so they may have changed it by now ( reinforced or something)

On both of the E class Merc's that I've owned, I've made sure to change both the sumps and TC's. The one with the 5 speed 722.6 trans did not have the drain stud, so I used the radiator return pipe to the trans to change the TC....its wasteful, for sure as you have to keep pumping the oil...
