I have done 34000 miles in 7 years mainly short runs and maybe a long run once every 6 weeks and never had a problem. If the car does not cut out when stopped in traffic and you can smell a sickly sweet smell keep driving as it is the dpf regenerating

Surprisingly at 16000 miles my rear tyres needed replacing, but the front ones were fine. Got an excellent deal online at Tyreshopper and went to National to have them fitted. Out of interest I asked National how much would they sell this tyre for and was shocked when they quoted nearly twice...

Could be leaking injector seals. Have a look around the injectors and see if there are any black deposits

C Class 220, 02 reg. Lovely car to drive so I bought it. Turned out to be the worse car I ever owned, however left the drive was so good when I could afford it (ie allowed) I bought a nearly new one:D
