i just hope someone on here can tell me weather the open and close buttons are supposed to work when the lock is removed but i dont have much hope as i have never got any help before well i,ll see

thanks i have removed the latch and am awaiting the new one i had to close the hatch manually and fasten it closed with a bungee strap for now i hope the controls work when i get the new lock fitted cheers Mel

door was not latching and yes i removed the latch the metal part with the release cable and wiring plug cheers Mel

Hi again can anyone help this time i have a ml 320 cdi 07 year and the tailgate lach started to play up so i removed it and am waiting for the new one but now the power lift and close doesent work i have checked all the fuses and they are ok the button on the drivers door is lit up but nothing...

hi i disconnected the module and tested the pair of wires one was short to ground even with the plug off at the transmission end too thanks Mel

my problem is the canbus wires for the tcm one of them has a short to ground and it turns the canbus off i need to know if the wires go directly from the multi connector in the left footwell to the tcm so i can trace them out many thanks Mel

ok all sorted i bought a central gateway just on the offchance and it has cured the problem very happy

he could not find the problem and wants me to take the car to their workshop and leave it with them so they can look at it whenever they have time cost me a hundred quid and still no further foreward i have ordered a second hand gateway unit to try and then i am back to square one

not the brake light switch it checks out ok i have a star session booked on the 11th of november he is comming out to me so ill just have to wait

the fault is there all the time
