C270 cdi hot start problem My c270 refuses to start now when hot - needs about 1 hour to cool and then it runs fine. Have had crankshaft sensor replaced but no joy....when trying to start it today when hot I had the "EPC" fault "Visit workshop" flash up. Any thoughts?

I borrowed a detector a while back and it really did work - Roadangel I think at around £370, but I believe they are on special offer now. Worth a look if the points are building up!

Was blatting along the M1 Derbyshire/Yorkshire last week and a sneaky white Transit type thing parked in the hard shoulder had 2 cameras in it, pointing about a quarter of a mile downstream, so that by the time I'd seen it, it was way too late. Must have caught everyone doing 70+. Watch out...

Andy Gayle I too used Andy last week for a B service (98 C240 Elegance). Rear pads, service, 4 wheel alignment, tracking, sorted faulty ABS sensor and realigned steering wheel. Also found battery part was missing and sent me it in the post next day. All that cost £100 less than just a B service...

Is this gearbox sealed for life or can the fluid be changed? Experiencing lumpy changes when cold and when slowing down it seems to drop jerkily from 2nd into 1st

Interested to find some members' plug change on V6 cost £120. Mine last autumn cost £236 at local MB dealer.
