The dust covers aren't bonded to the struts - they just have crimp ring clips at the top and bottom (I can't remember the dimensions off the top of my head)

I think it's pretty similar to the one on my old C215 and is just a friction-fit pump that costs about £25. I originally replaced mine with a generic part from Euro Car Parts but it seemed to have a poor check valve and so would take an extra second to squirt fluid by which time the wipers had...

The manual for my C215 had a diagram with the locations of windows in the infrared reflective film where tags should be mounted. I never had any issues with mine on any of my roadtrips.

I've taken my Phaeton on the regular carriages many, many times and although you do need to pay attention, I've never scuffed either my tyres or my wing mirrors. For what it's worth, the Phaeton's track is 1903mm and width is 2129mm.
