None 9f the bulbs are working any more, I think it is because I tried to pull the connector out. Is it safe to drive around until I get to a garage, could also be a while as many are not opened.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to wait until mercedes opens or take it to a garage that can repair it. I dont think I will have a go as will most likely make it worse.

The earth wire seems to have burned out.

I was quoted about the same by the main dealer. They said to do a diagnotic first which is about £160. I might just wait and see how my lock goes. Still need to get back in contact with mercedes keys specialist to see if it can be done any cheaper.

Hi all, I have just had the unfortunate issue with my car where the steering lock has gone. The car was not starting, no lights. Mobilo came out and said they are common in the w204 2011 c class which is a pain! Has anyone had any similar issues? and how much it cost to fix?

I used them earlier this year for servicing and repair. Great service. Will be returning next year for service.

I have been looking at getting a dash fitted. So many choices though! I have looked at Halfords and they charge £30 I think, to have it hard wired so no cables would be visible.

Hi Mark, I have had a look at the owners manual and can't find anything in there. It also refers to a service booklet which I don't have. I thought investing in the Care Plan (3 years) would cover the ATF change, but appears it does not. It may be worth having a second thought before taking...

Thanks Mark, that is what they said to me. As they check their system with my VIN it prints of what is required, as such the ATF came out not required. (With a line through it).

Thanks Chris and Tony. I have the 5 speed autobox as well, and I am sure I have read on the forum that the ATF should be changed. Unfortunately I don't have the expertise to do it myself, wish I did though! I still have a care plan with them so I will wait and see what happens at the next...
