2006 7G Occasional Shift issue & Software updates

Hmm, this is interesting Codger49 I did a search based on your info and found this thread. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/455444-help-e320-jerking-during-acceleration.html In here the guys are saying it's most likely turbo or fuel filter. I don't want to shell out for a turbo and then...

2006 7G Occasional Shift issue & Software updates

Thanks guys, so it's definitely a fault and not just a bit of a poor unit. Will it break down at all? any experience with the software updates out of interest? Do they improve the changes? No fault codes on Star when it was checked last month.

2006 7G Occasional Shift issue & Software updates

Hi, My 320cdi has the 7G gearbox, has done 78K with gearbox oil change last year. It seems fine, other than if it's been driven, then left for an hour or so, then driven again - if I give it any more than 1/2 throttle (e.g. pulling out or overtaking) it will struggle to shift from I...

Folding Mirrors - modification to stop them causing issues?

Hi, When I bought my CLK one of my favourite convenience features was the power folding mirrors. Both my driveway and work car park are very tight and the auto folding mirrors made life a lot easier. I read on here that they can cause issues with the indicators/heater so turned the...

CLK W209 Steering - is it 'loose'

Thanks for the really informative reply, I'd given up on this thread! I'm getting the roll bar links replaced so hopefully this will freshen it up. How do these things handle generally? When I'm going down a back Road and pushing on a bit I feel a bit like I'm fighting the car.

    W209 Transmission Undertray (V6)

Hi I'm looking for the transmission undertray that will fit a V6 diesel (allows room for the exhaust). They look quite similar to W203 version but I'm unsure whether they will all fit. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Dom

    Multi contour seats not working

I gave this a go, instructions were perfect. I tested it and it didn't work, but upon taking the pump apart again, the magnets had disintegrated (it obviously worked as I could feel heat). To anyone else who reads this, just be wary of putting the motor back together. For future reference, do...

CLK W209 Steering - is it 'loose'

Hi, Great forum, loads of info and I think I'll be using it a fair bit during my CLK ownership... I've got a W209 CLK 320cdi Sport 66k on the clock. The steering feels slightly 'loose' around the centre, particularly on the left. At first I thought -it's a 10yr old car so won't be as tight...
