    GPS Tracker?

Contact Tracker and give them the vehicle details. They have a data base of all vehicles which have had tracker fitted. They'll be able to confirm whether the device is usable and may even be able to enable Tracker for you.

    "Bump noise"

Check your tyres. Could be a bulge on inner sidewall if not immediately apparent.

    What MPG are people getting?

Just swapped my 2004 CLK320 Cabrio for an E350 CGI Cabrio so I can give a full report of the fuel consumption of the CLK. The tank was filled to first cut-off whenever fuel was added which makes the "Per Tank" figures reasonably accurate whilst the "Overall" was total miles divided by total...

How long can you sit stationary in drive on an automatic

Absolutely NO!!! Pads can only wear when there is relative motion between the pad and the disc, i.e. you are moving. If this were not true then your tyres would wear out whilst you were parked!!

    Engine animation.

Fascinating, but I've always found Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow to be adequate. It even reminds me about the four-stroke cycle!

    Unleaded in a diesel!

Everyone is happy that the car will be fine with a simple drain and refill but I'm not sure that this is the problem. Isn't the problem that the dealer has said that unless all the lines have been changed then the warranty will be invalidated. We really need to know what Mercedes's take on the...

    Gypsies - are they bad?

How do you know that they are gypsies? They could be just travellers! As far as I understand it gypsies are defined by their ethnicity whilst travellers are defined merely by a lifestyle choice. That makes a world of difference between them.

New Toy - Garmin Ecoroute HD

I'm worried by the manifold pressure shown. If the pressure is "gauge", i.e. relative to standard atmospheric pressure, then it is impossible to have a pressure less than -15psi so why have a scale going down to -30. Also, a boost pressure of 22psi above atmospheric is ridiculously high for a...

    Top Gear row

In my opinion it's about time a large number of people remembered the old adage that "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me". I get so weary of all the whining about some perceived slight no matter how minor - what will happen when there is really something to...

    slowdown of the people

I think that you cannot compare the price of petrol for commuting with the price of public transport. The cost par mile of running a car is usually 2 to 3 times the mere cost of petrol. Let's compare like with like shall we - unless someone can tell me how to run my cars legally for only the...

    Fuel consumption C200 W202

The OP says that he does only short journeys, in a hilly town!! To me 18mpg seems about right considering the usage.
