    Keeping Headlights Clear

Ive never had to concern myself with this issue- Ive an 18-year old MGTF and its lights are as good as the day it rolled off the line at Cowley. We have had a few E-classes over the years- they suffered it, but i knew no better and ignored it (they were the wifes and she rarely drove of a...

    Keeping Headlights Clear

1200 wet n dry, 2000 wet n dry, G3 cutting compound, Top coat cutting/polishing compound and finally resin polish/sealer. Takes about 1/2 Hr to allow some drying. Wet and dry needs loads of water, don't let it cut dry! Mine were borderline MOT failure and the MOT man suggested G3-which was handy...

CLK 230 Cabriolet HRW not working (2000)

Up early this morning and yes, it works! I bet theres a lot more out there that dont and im suprised that such a heavy cable broke internally. For anyone who finds a broken wire, remember to replace the 'spliced-in' piece of wire with a cable of similar flexability and the same CSA as there is a...

CLK 230 Cabriolet HRW not working (2000)

It rained yesterday and the RW misted- I truend on the switch, light stayed on, but no heating/clearing. Ive checked the 3 fuses associated with this circuit- 2 in the boot and 1 up front and all ok. My question is- Does anyone know how to access the wiring to the rear screen itself? It looks a...

Can anyone recomned a supplier of the ram-seals for a DIY repair in the UK? I have the excellent write up from the stataes of how to get the rams out, but i want to repalce the seals myself and havent found a supplier over here as yet? Drivers seat stuck completely forward and Mercedes want to 'cut it out'??

Hello all- I think this is my first post, so rather than post another thread of a similar subject, ill hijack this one, if I may- and might be able to offer a bit of help although id value you opinion, before i start throwing money about unnecessarily. I’ve owned a CLK 230 Kompressor for about...

    W208 Siren Location?

Great article- My F5 in the boot was blown on my CLK230 and it was, as advised- the alarm siren. Anyone reading this and a little confused- In UK- remove front passenger road wheel- jack up and support the car- remove the plastic cover (horizontal one, not the one in the wheelarch) and you will...
