The problem is silver is a heavy paint due to the amount of metal in it, which can cause sag's, run's and if applied too heavy can cause the metal flakes to sink, Also the lacquar (excuse spelling) we use has a high cellulose which if applied to heavy can have a "jet" wash effect. I know some...

I doubt MB UK will be aware that the repair was carried out as it was done by what looks like a work shop trolley being pushed around the car whilst at the stealership. Also it was 95% on the bumper (so no chance of rust) and only a tiny down to metal scratch on the panel under rear light cluster.

Good luck with your ChipsAway job, as others have said here the repair is down to the operator. I did a new W211 the other day which was a Merc' direct purchased car. It came with a nice scratched bumper which I was asked to correct for the new owner (A senior partner in a adult shop chain...

    Battery Replacement

When I required a new battery on my W210 the local Brabus (Kent) garage fitted it for free and they were not expensive. I would enquire at MB first, you may be suprised at cost.

I had an Omega Sea Master, the latest full size mechanical version, it was the worst time keeper ever  . I now have a DKNY chronometer which g/friend got me, but my favorite watch which I wear all the time including swimming / sauna's etc is a £20 Sekonda Chrono' that looks almost...

I miss these GTG's :( . I thought I had stumbled upon a "FORD" GTG, thought it odd that no-one was looking at the cars then I realised it was just the Asda car park :D

    E Class Rust

When I was looking at getting a 6/7 seater I had a good look at both the E-class and the V70. I imagined my kids in the back (3rd row) seat which is literally a "Bench" whilst I travelled to the S/France and I couldnt do it to them. This is why I eventually got a Galaxy. Whilst I think...

    Air-con' question.

Well had my re-gas. I can only highly recomend the company . The man that came round explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. My air is now lovely and chilled. Total cost was £70. This included gas testing, the ultra violet dye and a full vacuum and refill of the system...
