after reading the previous posts ,could it not be said that modern cars or modern anything ! could be taking away our ability to use our own initiative to fix things ,expanding the lay mans knowledge and exploration of ones ability. maybe a far reaching kind of twee point but hey ho.

just a quickie,do you prefer the older cars with there reasonably simple builds,ie,engine four wheels and you could muck about and fix them yourself or do you prefer the new plug in computer all singing dancing full of toys expensive garage trips when the computer says no and throws up the bat...
