Problem solved, disconnected the battery, put it on the ctek for 1.5 hrs and hey presto ! a happy ending...for now at least.

got into car this evening a 54 plate 320cdi, noticed clock had stopped. Started it up, no dash lights, no dash clocks working, no indicators, but headlights on, but not working off the switch ???, windscreen wipers working, have checked fuses and they seem okay. Any ideas aside from...

anyone fitted these to a 320cdi avant guard ?, I'm thinking about it, as to my eye the front sits a little high on standard set up.

It's Obsidian Black with the tinted window option, the Alloy's (17") are totally shot, orginally they were the Diamond Cut/Polished items. I want to stay with 17's as the current tyres have many miles left in them, and I like the ride quality as is. So option 1 is to get the orginals...

Sorry to trouble everyone, bought a W211 last week, with Command and the bluetooth module in the centre arm rest. Phone recognises the module as UHI SN6300, then asks for the passkey, so i enter 62872 But the phone won't then connect with the car. Must be doing something wrong, any ideas ...

i had a c32, it was fantastic, didn't keep it long enough to report on running issues, but a short test drive was all it took to convince me. sold it 8 weeks later for fear of a jail sentance for speeding.

thanks, it's a 54 plate, Dec 2004. I like the old school drive of the 124, but the 211 is so much faster and more refined, still i suppose that's 20 odd years of engineering development for you.

and what a difference compared to my W124 300D !, it's a W211 320 cdi great spec too, an estate, avant-guard, loads of bits, reminds of me change from my first car, an escort 1.1 mk2 to my second an XR3. May try to load some pics tomorrow
