CL55K makes some nice power, I have a 05 G55K and even with the weight of the truck it moves out quickly ! The 63 is an interesting motor, smaller displacement but ability to tune for incredible power... The C43 is a neat little pocket rocket...love the size and handling...will begin to...

    300ce widebody

I’ve only put 200 miles in the last two years mostly because I live in an Oceanside resort area with boring roads and very heavy traffic....takes the fun out of driving !!! And after owning thirty one years and much time on the build it was a great feeling to see how much the build was...

It’s been a while, in fact years.... I first want to start by thanking all of the UK enthusiasts who had a significant part in helping me source components along with technical info for my build... I sold the car today at auction for $77,777.00 ( 61,062.72 sterling ) ! Wish all the best to those...

    Wrapping the Grille? Anyone tried?

Wrapped the grille on my CLK63 Black Series with 3M Dinoc carbon Fiber material. Not that difficult to do and if you make a mistake just peel the wrap off. Not as messy as Plasti-dip.. Also consider the Plasti-dip will scar in time from what comes in contact with it in normal driving..

    Racaro classic black c81

Sounds a bit high for a set that has to be recovered... Keep looking as you may find an even tattier set for 800-1000. Ed A.

    spark plugs question for W124

NGK BP5EFS or BP6EFS work great and should be readily available. 6 is colder, 5 is hotter and for a stock engine 5 would be the better choice. NGK unlike most the lower the number the higher the heat range. Non resistor is imperative as the factory leads have resistance built in. Resistor or "...

    300ce amg.

Agreed Recaro Never had a forward/back control on the seat panel. The Recaro bases were either fixed or manual forward/back movement. I found using the Recaro base adapter on the Merc base sometimes makes the seats sit too high. If you look on the project section for my wide body build you'll...

    300ce amg.

Coming late to the party but to make sense of any pre-merger AMG is impossible. Remember AMG was a tuner at the time prior to it's initial co-operation agreement with Mercedes in 1991-1992. AMG had franchised dealers/installers as part of their global network. These dealers procured parts from...

The Recaro base adapter mounts to the stock Merc electric base. This allows forward and back movement from the stock control on the door card :thumb: Ed A.
