    W124 230TE tailgate won't stay up.... is it easy to fit new 'dampers'? I believe the dampers (if thats the right term) are £30 each...

    Cost.... apparently there £500 for the Merc one... £285 for the non merc one (that so far doesn't fit!)

    Good people trying to find a non mercedes rear shock absorber for a w124 230TE 1988... my garage has been sent three and non of them fit! Any ideas? Thanks Rich
