Reset did not work. Took the card off, front rubber guide had frayed & came out jamming the window. Plulled it up out cut bottom 1/3 away pushed back in and its working.

I did try pulling it with my hand at the same time put it just seems solid at 1/3 up , then yes safety goes back 1cm. @ ash- do you mean your window did like mine- stops 1/3 up and the reset(-full down hild button for 5 secs cured it?) Thanks

Went to put the window up on my dads w208 and it goes up about 1/3 stops goes back 1cm , will go all the way down, seems to be jamming on something. Anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Guys, What I did if it may help someone else. Both doors clicked so bad & loud it was like something was broken. I gave both a spray/rinse with wd, then sprayed a liberal amount of halfords spray grease, both are totally quiet again.

Hi Guys, Having a slight but clunky knock going over some bumps from where the roof on my w208 cab connects to top of windscreen. I have checked the hook latches & they are tight, also got some gummi and applied it but still there the metal sounding knock. Anyone any ideas? Thanks

You mean use the black dye? I was thiking the sealer would maybe be better on these marks as they are not a stain but a roughing of the fabric surface so sealer(as with leather) may blend these scrubbing marks?

That photo etc posted earlier was saying on cast lug rear of engine nearside(is it different on different merc engines?)

If the dash was changed/windscreen would that be possible to the windscreen vin? I looked for the engine number this morning as per that photo(cast lug rear of the engine and couldn't see anything - is it by any chance under the merc plastic top cover?
