Hi, I have a 2018 C Class with the Audio 20 CD system along with the Garmin Map Pilot sat nav system. A few days ago the car turned 3 years old and the 3 years live traffic subscription ended and I want to renew it.
I called my local MB dealer (Marshall's Portsmouth) and spoke with someone in...
Hi, I couldn't figure this out either until recently. When it initially tells you that there is an alternative (quicker) route, you cannot select that new route from there. You have to enter the sat nav menu and select traffic which should have a small red number next to it showing how many...
You were absolutely correct, the seller is extremely helpfull. So it turns out that the lifting pad I needed for my W205 is the same as for the W204. I just needed a 5mm higher one to clear the AMG side skirts which the seller supplied for the same price.
For anyone else who wants a lifting pad...
I did look at those but where the ad lists the models, for the C Class it states 'Mercedes C - Class (W203, W204, CL203, C204, S203, S204)' No mention of W205.
Would it be the same.
Yeah, I've just searched and found it. I wasn't aware they were there and have always just used the one on the car display.
Anyway, the online user manual looks pretty much exactly the same, pictures and all, as the car display one except for the bit mentioning the AMG Equipment covers.
Now I...
I checked the jacking section of the user manual on the car display and there was no mention of the jacking point covers.
When you say the 'online manual' is there another manual I am not aware of.
Hi, I have a 2018 C220d estate (W205) which does not have the spare wheel or jack and only has the bottle of gunk and a portable compressor and I would like some advice on jacking the car up.
As it is the AMG Line it has the side skirts fitted which, as the picture shows, has what looks like a...
I didn't want to go down the road of completely changing the system, I just wanted to improve the sound quality of the existing one which I think should be achievable.
In fact, just adding the front door tweeters has made a massive difference already.
The tweeters have a capacitor already inline and are designed for connecting across the existing speakers.
Obviously this is not a full crossover but that is always something I can fit later on if neccesary.
The tweeters have a frequency response of 4Khz - 20Khz
No, not a useful picture I'm afraid. However it's not difficult if you use one of these adapters that I linked to in my original post.
Just unplug the plug on the existing door speaker (yellow plug) and plug it into the black connector on the adapter. Then plug one of the brown connectors on...
Hi, as some of you may have seen in my 'new member saying hi' thread here I thought the audio quality in my 2018 W205 with the Audio 20 system left a little to be desired or, put another way, was dire.
So what I am trying to achieve is to improve the sound quality sufficiently without going...
Thanks Geoff, don't get me wrong, I love the Merc and as I said earlier I look forward to getting in it and driving. I've had many cars over the years and I don't think any one of them was 100% perfect but I've always modded them to address the shortcomings.
I've never been what I would call a...
