I did see that but I couldn't believe such a small speaker was the subwoofer so I assumed it was for something else.

I didn't want to go down the road of completely changing the system, I just wanted to improve the sound quality of the existing one which I think should be achievable. In fact, just adding the front door tweeters has made a massive difference already.

The tweeters have a capacitor already inline and are designed for connecting across the existing speakers. Obviously this is not a full crossover but that is always something I can fit later on if neccesary. The tweeters have a frequency response of 4Khz - 20Khz
