    A2025054088 (W202 radiator cover, n/s edge) - part wanted

Probably a long shot - this odd-shaped part can no longer be ordered via a dealer, just wondering if anyone has one in good condition? Don't really want to be doing the rounds of breakers yards for one. It's item #176 on the diagram here. Thanks!

    Household electrical switch question

Hi all, would someone with more knowledge of electrics than me (not difficult) be able to tell me if this switch is fused or not? It's supplying a timer switch for an immersion heater, which suddenly stopped working (BTW the cracks evident in the plastic have been there forever, so I don't think...

    My 2000 W202 C200 - MOT failure

Hi all, as a result of further developments today, it looks more likely I'll be keeping the car a while longer now. Thanks to all members who contacted me about it - if things don't pan out as expected, I'll let you know.

    My 2000 W202 C200 - MOT failure

My car has failed its MOT under the new rules introduced in May 2018, because it has a retrofitted Brabus exhaust (now a nuisance noise under 8.1.1 (a)....). I'm not inclined to have an original W202 exhaust re-fitted in order to pass the MOT and would like to gauge if there is any interest from...

    Clk 230 kompressor breaking

Just letting other members know. Happy with the door handle part I bought from this car - good price, shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. Paint code is 744 Brilliant Silver in case it helps anyone.

Interior heater blower on full power and won't stop

I have a spare one (non-OEM) if you would like it. Purchased new in May 2013, was fitted for a few months - it made no difference to the problem I mentioned above, then when I replaced the control panel for the 2nd time I reverted to the OEM resistor, initially to see whether I still had an...

Interior heater blower on full power and won't stop

Had a problem on my W202 where the blower would intermittently operate at full speed whatever setting the fan was on. Always stopped when the ignition was switched off though. I changed the resistor and the blower motor itself, to no avail. The fix was a replacement heater control panel, and...

Which parts does my W202 share with others?

W208 or W210 door handles (W208s for front doors only of course). Allows you to replace those faded black plastic handles and colour code to the rest of the car. If you can find them! Lots of the W202 part numbers start A210 or A124, so I'm sure many other parts can be shared.

W208 O/S door handle IR part - paint code 744

A2107660056. I bought mine a few years back - don't know if they are still available.

W208 O/S door handle IR part - paint code 744

Yes, the little round things are black....I tried spraying mine, but it's too small for that and the paint peeled off quickly, so I ditched it ages ago. What I actually need is the cover part for the IR sensor that I'm hoping Greg or someone else will come up with :D.

W208 O/S door handle IR part - paint code 744

Many thanks Greg - please can you pm me when you have looked. Howard - these do come colour coded on W208s, it may depend on trim level though. I know someone with a 1998 W208 Sport and his handles were colour coded from new.

W208 O/S door handle IR part - paint code 744

As pictured...not the little plastic lock cover (with key design), but the part that covers the lock mechanism itself and has the hole for the IR sensor. It easily prises off from the mechanism it is attached to. Must be a factory painted part in Brilliant Silver 744 and in at least good...

W202 glove box won't shut or lock

I have found a less obtrusive solution than on the VW :bannana:. After removing the lid handle and the other 4 screws from the back and sides of the lid, I saw my problem was the same one described in post 7 of this thread: Glove compartment door refuses to close - Mercedes-Benz Forum The...
