    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

I have never had any involvement with HGV's. So wouldn't like to comment on safe EGT's for one of those.

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

So they run a fleet of HGV's, that is cool, they must be engineering experts. ;) I have professional experience running, calibrating and developing engines in the automotive, motorcycle and motorsport industries. I am by no means a valve expert either, but I have a good idea of what goes on...

Surely this is a good excuse to get those numbers up, haha.

If you get the file off your ECU I can have a quick look

I'm not sure I know the difference between CDI3 and CDI4 to be honest.

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

TDi turbo's in the UK built mine. I also had B14 Bilsteins, they made a massive difference.

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

In the high rpm's I gained over 15% more airflow. Compressor out temperatures also dropped significantly. I had set up a vacuum gauge about 50mm from the intake on the compressor and I can't remember exactly but I had about a 25kPa depression. With the custom compressor in pipe, it was around 7...

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

You will be fine pushing more than 2.1bar of boost. I fitted a 4 bar MAP sensor for a reason, haha. I actually found it easier to control the boost when you work it a little harder. Any queries with tuning/ data logs etc I will try to help. The aftermarket support for these engines and ECU's is...

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

The 7 speed auto gearbox is rated for 700Nm of continuous torque. I was certainly running a lot more than that, the gearbox will be fine. As long as it has been serviced regularly.

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

When was the last time you logged EGT's on a diesel? Please stop giving people on this forum incorrect information. You are correct, more fuel is more heat, but 650°C isn't hot for diesel EGT's. A lot of diesel cars will run over 800°C brand new out of the factory. The only reason they don't...

    OM642: Garrett GTB2365vk

How are you getting on with this build? I think I have a turbo in pipe that replaces the restrictive stock one that might be useful to you. I used to have an om642 with a gt2365v, intercooler etc. I have since replaced the car, I had to try a c63 with a M156 in. You will be fine with 900°C...

OM642 Higher Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

Stock turbo runs out of puff at 280bhp. I've got a 2365 hybrid. Already got a larger cooler and associated pipework. Injectors are more than capable with additional fuel pressure.

No a2l for this exact software but lots of hours comparing something very similar and then making a map pack....

OM642 Higher Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

400bhp would be enough. I don't think the pistons/ rods would take much more than that! Normally too much SOI leads to cracked pistons, bent rods or the head lifting off the block. Pressure will almost always increase no matter what you do, I have seen it myself. But different tuning methods...

OM642 Higher Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

I'm not sure c30 AMG injectors would be any better. The OM642 has some pretty good injectors. I'm injecting 115-120mm3 of fuel. I made an excel spread sheet so I can check my EOI and it's at 3-4°ATDC. I have already added a couple of degrees to the SOI. I'm reluctant to take it further. I'm...
