No more commute = no more Mercedes

Thanks Sweetooth, I'm still floating around on Briskoda, we've a Skoda in the family still. I decided to break from tradition and try something a bit different to the usual Skoda Superb :D

No more commute = no more Mercedes

I guess the issue is the potential bork factor, I need to read up on common R230 issues but I remember when I looked a few years ago I was quickly scared off.

No more commute = no more Mercedes

Funny you should mention that, this popped up on eBay not so long ago, it's a 2005 SL350 with 83,000 miles up at £6,500 and 40 miles up the road! I'd imagine if you're going to go to the effort then the SL500 is the only way to go!

No more commute = no more Mercedes

In February this year I was happily racking up the mileage on my 2016 E-Class, a 120 mile round trip five days a week, three hours a day in the car. Then COVID-19 came along and whack, my annual mileage has gone from 25,000 miles to 0 miles overnight, and if I'm lucky enough to keep my job...

    CLS350 Shooting Brake

Alas, you're bang on. Nail, head, hit. The CLS is probably well priced, my issue is that my E-Class has lost a significant chunk since buying it a year ago. Fully understandable and not unsurprising, but I can't get my head around losing such a chunk in order to swap to an albeit much nicer but...

    CLS350 Shooting Brake

Yum, I've always been a big fan of BMW's Estoril Blue, Skoda's Race Blue and MG's Pimlico Blue. I can now add Mauritius Blue to that list! Matching interior, that must be one of very, very, very few in the UK?

    CLS350 Shooting Brake

I should have bought a CLS instead of the E-Class, the saloon boot opening and lack of folding rear seats can be problematic at times. I didn't think it would be, but I'm missing the practicality of an estate. Do I want a CLS? Yes. Do I really need one? No, not really. I just very much like the...

    CLS350 Shooting Brake

The colour alone makes such a difference, I've never seen Mauritius Blue before, it looks great. An awful lot of car for £5,500. That's a deposit and a few monthly payments on a leased Euro barge of some description.
