diesel started acting up after about 250 miles of mway and A roads

On a long trip today about 300 miles. Doing well showing 46.3 MPG but suddenly went from approx range of 230 miles to 98 miles range 96,94,88,80,75 etc fearing a fuel leak i pulled over noleak. Put 25 litres into tank all good about 250 miles then very up and down. Any ideas??

update on gearbox Well S212 went for a service and I git the gearbox fluid and filter changed also put on Star, no errors. Update to engine and gearbox SW. My slight clunk on stopping has now disappeared. slight snatchiness through gears but garage chap said the car will learn my driving style...

Fitted a pure highway with external through glass aerial and drove Cumbria to southampton and it did not drop out once.

Tankfull to tankfull Hi, My E350 CDI S212 says 47mpg on the OBC. I did a brimfull at the same pump some 650 miles travelled and my work out was 45.5 mpg

Anyone in or near Cumbria, M6 junction 40 ish able to update my 2011 S212 E350CDI AG to all the latest SW please. Particularly interested in gearbox update as per my recent posts with slight clunk issue on stopping. Will pay going rates.
