The ride is definitely much better with the new tyres, think the old tyres were exhibiting the effects of hardening of the rubber due to age. Braking better , think I had just got used to less grip and drove accordingly

Even though there was plenty of tread on all 4 tyres I checked the manufacturing dates on my tyres as had had the rear two on it since we bought the Rav 6 years ago. Discovered the 2 rear Pirelli Scorpions were manufactured in 2011 , Eek 😱, front Goodyears were 6 years old and the spare a 10...

If it were me it would be a Genuine one , otherwise I think you’ll be back to square one within a week or two.

It happens , I collected a brand new Saab 900 one evening, back in the late 80’s , and next morning driving into work I stopped in a queue of traffic and a guy reversed off his driveway straight into the door. It required a new one 😢

Our Rav 3 door 4x 4 auto ( 2L Petrol ) is really good in ice and snow , just about to treat it to a set of all weather tyres then it will be perfect 🙄

Same with our 20 year old 3 door RAV4 auto, ultra reliable, only 82 k miles and nothing the same size 4x4 on the market that appeals . Not doing too many miles so will probably keep it at least another couple of years 🤞🏼

Leaving it idling for 30 minutes to warm it up is crazy , no wonder you’re having problems 😂
