That's the one I need. It is not anywhere on my car. I just lifted both driver and passenger carpets and I found nothing. Nothing on the engine bay or boot either. How weird.

It hasn't got the sticker on the door sill. I has never had one there. I need the one where it says the axis weight together with the vin number.

I would agree with that. As long as they are prepared to put it right, the car will look like new after and you should get a courtesy car while they do it. When they did mine, it was painless.

We are thinking to move to Dubai for a couple of years for a change. We don't intend to rent the house or sell the Merc until we know what we are doing long term but as I don't have a garage I don't know what to do with the car. I really don't want to sell it but I can't just leave it outside...

Another vote for MB Manchester. They had to do the bonnet and both doors but they did the wings too so all the paint matches perfectly. The car had the paint protection when new so they re-apply that for free too (£400ish when new). I had a new A class for the 10 days it took them to do the job.

I stand corrected. Good luck with it. Its not nice to have the paint of your car in that condition.

Clear coat peeling is not the same problem as the one described in this thread so MB will look into it in a different way I am sure. MB have ways to know if the car has been painted before like looking at the thickness of the paint. Having the roof wrapped or the front bumper painted will raise...
