Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

Although the legroom looks tight, the seats are deep, so it is comfortable, but not easy to get in and out. Its a coupe.....

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

Guys, there absolutely is a fix. I had one of the first coupes in the country, and raised the noise issue on this forum. The last update I had fixed the noisy injectors. The car is completely different now, and has been fine for 8 k miles. Call Mercedes Peterborough and ask to speak to service...

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

Mine is still perfect after the update several weeks ago, and I am loving the car. I do get annoyed that they could release should rubbish for me to beta test for more than a year. I am thinking of writing to them to ask for compensation. Any comments guys?

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

I reckon the fuel consumption has down by 10 pc because of it. How green is that.

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

Mine got better over a period of a few days. The ecu is doing it's job now, and adjusting and learning as it goes. It really is a different car. There is still some cold diesel noise, but no rattle and pinking, and very smooth running when cold in comparison. As soon as the revs are up, it is...

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

3K miles in, and everything still good. By now previous fixes had drifted away. Fuel consumption on a run is better by 3 - 4 MPG. The car feels very refined now, I love it!

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

The best I have every had on a run is 40mpg in the 350 cdi s coupe. 45 may be achievable if very careful on acceleration, and mindful of max speed. I had a cls 320 cdi, which was rarely above 38. I am a spirited driver, cruising at typically 80 90 (when on the autobahn).

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

Probably half a day normally, quick to update the ecu, but the injector calibration takes longer. Saorbust, the problem exists on the saloon also, but it is a much bigger car, you are further from the engine, and you just don't hear it so much. My service manager has a 350cdi saloon with 6k on...

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

Hi Johny5, Mine is still a little "dieselly" when started cold at low revs, but warms and quietens fast, and knocking and pinking completely gone. Over 2k miles now since update. It is the best it has ever been. The service manager at my dealer is now very familiar with this issue, as he is...

Drove the new E350 CDI Coupe

This is really frustrating. It's hard to know when these SM's are bull****ting or not. Call Mercedes Peterborough and ask for Simon, see what he says. After the update, there was still some light pinking, but that has got better in the last 2 days. It is now running the best ever. The...
