I will soon be replacing the battery on my W204 year 2011 and ask is there any ‘must not do’s’ . If I want to keep a power source to the car while disconnecting and replacing, how is this done? I understand the power sockets are not live when the ignition is off. I have a 12v motorcycle battery...

W204 Estate c220cdi apr 2011 For the last 39000km my W204 reports 4.9l/100km (57mpg) mainly driven in France. Car has 56kms total.
