Not sure what you mean ! If you're referring to a fault code then no, but the first time it died a fault code did show initially although I can't recall exactly what it was - something like ECP & visit dealer ? Pretty sure it wasn't EML.

Hi Guys, Our 2003 220CDi C Class Estate - Tiptronic - has come out of gear a couple of times recently. Once on a roundabout 30 miles into a journey and the second time when meeting the postie on our lane - went to reverse but no gears ! This time engine & box cold, only done 1/2 mile downhill...

Those wheels must have been left over when they'd completed the new Tornado steam loco !

Thanks again, Wobbly, for the advice. We had a pagoda SL a few years ago so I'm aware of the parts cost for interior & exterior trim etc., no doubt it's even worse now. The postman's just brought me The Essential Buyer's Guide' today, so I'll get stuck into that !

Hi Guys, Does anyone know where to obtain the tech. specs. of the W107 SLs ? Easy enough to find them for the larger engined versions which is all the mags. ever road tested, but not for the 280/300 etc. Any brochures which can be downloaded ? There's a German brochure on eBay at...

But why is the estate taxed at a higher rate than the car with the same engine, at least as far as the C220CDi's concerened ?

The other day I was complaining about the awful radio reception on our newly acquired C220CDi Estate, someone kindly pointed me towards a NOS aerial amp on eBay. Unfortunately this was not the correct version (being for a coupe), but a conversation with a particularly knowledgeable MB stores...

Thanks, Robert and Whitenemesis. The aerial elements certainly look perfect and undamaged so, if the poor sensitivity in rural areas is not standard fare, maybe it's the amplifier at fault. I cannot actually see where this amplifier is - anyone know ? Thanks
