I know I have a leak. It's usually the OSR that sinks after a few days. Apart from the suspension bag, where else might it be leaking from?

UPDATE: I left it for an hour or so, then restarted the engine: the rear slowly slowly raised to normal height. There was a bit of a rattling noise this morning on start up when the fault occurred that I now think could have been a frozen pump?? It sounded like it was coming from behind the NS...

Interesting that you use the word "laggy". Do you mean it changes quicker or are you referring to the way it pulls away from stationary?

I really enjoy the Elegance interior of my 2004 E270 but I worry about the SCB and my car doesn't have heated seats: so I'm wondering if it would be worth trading up to the facelifted E. Are they better than the Pre facelift cars??

My autobox ran very low on fluid last month so I had the ATF and filter changed to be on the safe side. I'm now getting a bit paranoid because I'm sure I can hear a slight whine at town speeds. Should I be worried??? The car is on 188k but has a FSH from new.

Im a complete novice with these MB diesels but whet you're describing sounds like a preheater problem. Funnily enough (read: not funny at all) my E270 was starting fine until last week. Now it takes a few seconds of turning over before it fires up, first thing in the morning. After that...
