I now see the ball joint closest to the hub can be separated from the main control arm. Part No. A 169 333 01 27 refers. Did you replace this part and the control arm (A 169 330 10 07)?

@Smithy860 Hi. Turns out I'm going to have to replace an OSF lower arm. The ball joint nearest the hub has lost it's grease and it's grinding when warmed up. How was easy/difficult was it to replace this part? Any special tools or procedures needed? Did you buy parts from MB or elsewhere...

So the sensor is integral to the lock. The boot lock has now been replaced and problem solved. ✅

I have a regular alarm showing that the boot is open whilst driving. The boot is secured shut so I’m looking for the sensor. Is it built into the locking mechanism? Thanks.

Just to add some more detail following a number of questions. These wheel fit the E-Class W211 or S211. Probably fit other models too but you would need to check first.

Just had mine in garage for similar issue. Turned out to be faulty front shockers. Both replaced and peace is restored! Already had front lower arms replaced and drop links.

International Pit Straight would be good for qualifying and will give a good view of the pits too. Get there early though!!

Apologies for asking this in someone else's thread but does the E220 CDI have an inlet port shutoff motor too?

I driven a few of these whilst on loan as courtesy vehicles. Compared to our petrol one they are not much better on fuel consumption and quite noisy around idle speed. However they do have more punch when accelerating!

Did they check the fuel pump/fuel tank? Same noise as described found to be coming from this area on our A160 so both items replaced.
