Hi, it was replaced by the previous owner, probably done about 8k, but yeah I've heard they can cause the belts to break and the previous owner advised me to buy a spare belt as it had happened to him. I've replaced the belt now and all the pulleys seem fine so will just keep an eye on it....

Hi mate, recently been in a similar situation for a car search, after driving a number of C63's and CLS55's, I loved them both, but found the cheaper C63's hadn't been looked after very well (may be just the ones I viewed?!) and for me the 20K ish ones were the only ones what were worth getting...

Ha, wish it did mate, it seems daft not having one. Have found out can get a 'temporary' one which can't stay in place, its just for purposes of measuring.

Thanks for that reply, I have been looking at more info about the modifications and about remote tunes, as that is something I hadn't heard of, as I used a mapper for my previous cars. Will hopefully arrange a viewing on my next day off.

I did yes, but couldn't live with the beige interior, has to be the black or grey interior for me, as I am looking for a long term keeper.

Three years searching; that is commitment! Not too fussed on what colour, I think they look nice in black, but finding a lower mileage / full history seems difficult, so I am now looking for a C63 as well.
