Took car to main dealer for air con flush today - so far so good, problem solved.

Going to dealership tomorrow to have air con flushed and cleaned out. There are no charcoal filters in the interior; just a dust filter in the engine which was changed in March. Fingers crossed that it works! Many thanks for replying. Tony:)

An update - took car to Mercedes Southport who told me the problem was just wear and tear! Then proceeded to rang Ian at 124 Works who diagnosed the problem over the phone. I took my car for a replacement clip to be fitted to the base of the seat (the old one had worn, causing lateral movement)...
