I had a W205 built in East London South Africa then a W205 built in Bremen Germany.
The South African car had better panel gaps which are better aligned. The doors also shut better than the German car.
South African car's interior engine bay and other parts like suspension not squeaky clean...
New UK C Class is missing Burmester audio and
"Owing to supply shortages, availability of the communication module (LTE) for certain vehicles may be temporarily restricted. This situation particularly affects the Mercedes me connect services, including the emergency call system (eCall)"...
My C300 2.5 years ago was valued by MB dealer at £28k as a trade in
WBAC this week valued it at £27.4k
Heard about a 17 plate C63 AMG bought 2 years ago for £37,500 - Sold last week for £38,500

Presumably you've changed the wipers since 2016 to OEM wipers or Bosch since UV can deteriorate the rubber.
I've found if I accidentally get wax or detailing fluid overspray onto the windscreen that can cause smearing and juddering, even after cleaning with pure alcohol, or Autoglym glass...
The C Class' antiquated internet browser with no qwerty keyboard that takes an age to type in a URL, and then an age to load the webpage (well about 30 seconds, same sort of speed as an iPhone 3 processor) which is then difficult to navigate (no tap or pinch and zoom), which also needs a...
I moved from E Class 1998 to the C Class and my observations are the same as yours 👍
Two additional points,
1. New engine sounds rougher and is more coarse than the old petrols due to direct injection making a slightly diesel like sound.
2. The 205 C class is about the same length as the 1998...
I was quite surprised the W205 had MBUX type voice commands
"Set temperature to 20 degrees"
"Turn rear passenger light on"
"Turn display off"
Aren't in the manual.
I tried "open sunroof" and "open drivers window" but that didn't work, not sure if that works for MBUX cars.
I also looked in the manual but couldn't find anything at the time... which has got me wondering if the same 'focus' technique works for other data on the dials and which isn't documented. The engineers forgot to tell the instruction manual designers :)
The digital dashboard is great too, more flexible than BMW 3 series.
The 1.5 EQ boost is a smooth quiet engine if the revs are kept at reasonable levels, and relatively punchy pickup. Economy is near diesel if driven gently. The only curio thing is it doesn't display the engine temperature in...
