As well as market conditions, I think that the new shape A6 had quite an impact on the previous model too. It was quite a leap in looks and for some reason left its predecessor looking very dated. A6 Avant certainly sits on my shortlist, but one won't appear on my drive until new shape ones...

It sounds great. Just like the idea of the Euro sounded great. Unfortunately, it's the extra layer of government and bureaucracy required to screw it up which brings the idea crashing down :(

There are huge benefits from competing currencies. Why let one flavour of Government and Banking official control the money in your pocket? By having truly independent banks, each offering their own currency, people will naturally migrate to the one which offers the best balance of money...
