I was reading that the newly relaunched breakdown service for UK cars is having 'a few problems' or 'total collapse' depending on who is doing the writing. Any recent experience or is it teething troubles...?

My experience with Rain-X over the years :- 1) I don't use in on the windscreen (like Motard etc said), as I find that it smears when the road is greasy/ 2) Its excellent on all the other windows and side mirrors,lights 3) It does help with reducing the formation & 'stickability'...

Sasha Good point about the handling on winter roads. Do the electronics sort out 'everything within reason' or is traction / oversteer and issue when its icy (eg C270 or E320CDi old) in the ice? We already have a Skoda and its an excellent car for the money. The one we have has Audi A3...
