A bit of thread revival. Does feb revised have many improvements if any? My E55 pully it’s slightly noisy and I thought to just replace the pulley but can’t seem to find a part number. Thanks

You are being too kind, sir! I’m more an intrigued hobbyist with ADHD who follows manuals and YouTube well! 😂 I’ve got an engineering back ground which helps a little but, I take my time and ensure a job is done correct. I find garages mostly knock them out without the care I would like.

Thank you Pete. it’s going to Leeds Mercedes for the oil service so the dealer history is continued. I tend to do my own service work with genuine or OE parts. I’ll be doing a gearbox and diff oil change myself just so it’s done to my satisfaction. :)

I have mine serviced every 2 years (or less) as I barely do 3-5k in them. I use the dealer or specialists for the basic service & stamp and any additional works like plugs and pollen I do myself using Gen parts. I keep all the paperwork and photos printed out and filed in the SH. Call me a Nerd...

My 560SEL on a reg my father gifted me when I was 16. It doesn’t mean anything in particular but has huge sentimental value. It used to be on his 500SEL back in the late 90s so it was only fitting I put it on my W126. :)

I’ve done mine on the street and just cycled starting the car 3-4 times to let the compressor run. It seemed happy and had no issues. The sensors themselves are already calibrated and shouldn’t change as far as I’ve researched.

Has the connection on top been checked and the compressor/valve block under the passenger side trim (behind the bumper area but accessed via the inner arch). You may find it could be a either or having a small weep. Keep this Thread updated. Vick
