    W209 Drivers seat electrical connections

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, still have not found out what function this cable controls. On review of the socket photo it appeared that it was slotted in from below. With this in mind I used a small screwdriver to try and lift it up, it moved easily, then fitted the plug back in...

    W209 Drivers seat electrical connections

Original leather seats, not memory, manual adjustment but with heaters. Don’t have pneumatic support. There is a similar plug on the passenger seat and it is plugged in. I have only had the car since June and also found a cable in the boot unplugged, when I plugged that one in the parking...

Yes, the plug is also shown in the photo and all pins and wires are there, just the plug will not go in because the socket has moved out of alignment with the frame.

    W209 Drivers seat electrical connections

I found an unplugged cable under my drivers seat and was wondering what function this cable has. Tried to plug it ( the white connector) back in but socket is out of alignment and then wondered why it was unplugged and if I would get a error code if I plugged it in so started investigating what...

Thanks AltonAnt, I will have a read through it. Just reading one part and it said the fibre optics are easily damaged if bent and I found one fibre cable bent in the boot, don’t know if that would be the issue or how to test it either! I have ordered a break out box for the OBD2 connection and...

Have just tried scanning again, plugged scanner in then started engine, then selected the car model and ran auto scan, scanned 24 modules but only shows two, ECM and TCM! Then tried manual and link error on all other modules!

    P2029-002 error code

Have now found that if the fault code P2029.002 is removed and heater switched of it is replaced with fault code P202B.008!

Scanner only reads ECM and TCM

Sorry, I seem to be getting so many different issues which may be all relating to the same problem. My main concern is that I can’t scan the other modules and on trying to determine the cause I am following the codes that come up to see if they will lead to a fix.

Scanner only reads ECM and TCM

Focusing on the fault that I picked up with the alternative scanner, P202B-008, CAN data from control module EIS, CAN signal interruption Drive authorization, I just Googled EIS and I now think this is the module to follow up, I had a new key made by a Locksmith and he removed the EIS to code...

Scanner only reads ECM and TCM

No, I simply scanned my car with another scanner at a garage and it couldn’t read them either.

I think this is a crazy fault, all of the cars functions appear to work correctly, doors, windows, parking sensors etc, all fuses are ok, the only real fault is with the communication from CAN to the scanner!

I have now connected another scanner and that can’t read the other modules, comes up with an error code of P202B-008, CAN message from control module EIS, CAN signal
