I just had an idea, if I were to provide a constant voltage to the wire that sends the throttle position location signal to the ASR computer, the car won't know its accelerating, this might be enough to fool the ASR while still keeping the ABS fully functional.

Yes for the V8 cars and for the newer cars it can, relatively easily. But so far I have not found anything for the pre 96 six cylinder cars.

I have the snowchain button, but it only defeats it partially and very briefly. I need to be able to shut it off totally and keep it off until I turn it back on.

Does anyone know how to disable ASR and keep it off without disabling ABS?

I thought so too, but I called the dealer gave them my VIN and this is the number they gave me as the correct ECU for my car.

Well my ECU according to the dealer look up is one have not seen before, PN: 018 545 6732 88

I have a new engine harness, has all the tags still on it.
