A124 E320 Cabriolet Rear shock replacement

Hi, I have partially stowed the hood, rear up & cover open. Managed to remove the hood storage felt liner & can see top of shocks. If ignition turned off back of hood drops down inhibiting access. It also seems to drop down after a few minutes. Roof sequence seems to get confused. I manually...

    A124 Sportline Front LCA

Always worth checking main dealer price & ask for discount. I needed a plastic bracket/clip that holds the warning triangle to boot lid (specific to convertible) £7 from dealer £20 + online from other sources.

    A124 Sportline Front LCA

Thanks for the stear. I got the N/S ( 3607) from dealer for £400! Offside NLA (3707). In the US they’re available for $384 but no international shipping. ☹️

    A124 Sportline Front LCA

Thanks for replying, the sportline are listed as 3607 & 3707. Apparently 3407 & 3507 were standard but went NLA a long time ago so the sportline ones got used as an alternative for original MB parts.

Hi all, the above part:124 330 37 07 is NLA from MB Dealer. Any ideas where to source? In UK or Europe (seen one site but they want over €600 plus postage) Available on US websites but don’t ship internationally. Many thanks

    C124 fully bodywork restoration

Looks great. My winter project is to drop the rear subframe from my 1994 A124 E320, remove all original rubber underseal. Cut out/treat any rust recover with Bilt Hamber products. Refurbish, rebuild rear and re-assemble. It started with the usual little rubber balloon that revealed the dreaded...

    W124 Heater always hot

My Cabrio does not have AC. Maybe as simple as: blown fuse, bad fuse contact or break in supply to valve. picked it up from Cheshire Classic Benz & drove back to Hampshire. Car was on max heat, I was cooking! Fault was as simple as blown fuse, now all removed, contacts cleaned & copper fuses...

    Time to cut my losses.

Thanks for the guidance, I was thinking of getting the frame blasted & sprayed with hot zinc. Got the link kit, LCA & subframe bushes. Need boot kit to refurb driveshafts, previous owner did the diff oil seals & bushes. The under seal removal & rust is the issue, looks OK but so have other...

    Time to cut my losses.

Well done, I look at the ever increasing pile of spares to tackle the rear subframe & it does become daunting. Without attacking the rust.

I changed my oil using the Lidl oil extractor

I totally agree, the number of times it started a regen, no dash indication, just difference in engine note and excessive exhaust smoke led me to an unwanted trip up the motorway. I loved the car but sold it on, unfortunately I wanted the AWD & it was not a petrol option. With an engineering...

I changed my oil using the Lidl oil extractor

With fully synthetic oil it still functions with diesel in it. If you do lot of short journeys keep an eye on it, when level rises change the oil. I had the 2.2D Mazda CX5, their mod was to put an extra level line with an ‘X’ on it about an inch above full mark. Always paranoid about checking...
