Since I got my SL55AMG the Alarm siren did not appear to be working.. indicators would flash, but no siren.
The fault code seemed to confirm the siren was faulty.. today I fitted a new replacement from MB .. quick and easy to do, only took 40mins.
The siren as most will know suffer from water...
Windscreen washers now fixed!
The parts arrived.. replaced all the rubber grommets with new OE.
put it all back together.. everything is now working as it should!
Parts numbers below Pump was about £30 and the grommets About £2 each.

Car 'Collectors' who don't drive them but just see them as a commodity are pushing up prices... a collector will buy it and stick it in a garage for a few more years... future classic? I think so.
I see the SL shop now look after R230s... too far away from me to even consider them... They are in business to make money.. something they didn't do for the EV SL (£200k development cost.. sold for £40k including buyers premium) I wonder if they were testing the market for a production...
