I've posted in the wanted section but was wondering if anyone knew if this tank has any commonality with other MB models?
MB part number A4635000349
Those lovely people at Mercedes-Benz don't have the part! NLA it seems.
None elsewhere in the UK it seems. Just one in the USA...
Here's where we are gents.
Deadline: - Must (on pain of endless "why don't you just buy a newer, more sensible car you silly old fart" ) have functional car available at airport for réveillé tomorrow morning, boots blacked, to collect French visitors. Parents, two kids plus luggage.
Desperately trying to buy a new alternator for my 1993/4 G 300 petrol
Just spent 20 minutes in my local MB (Solihull)who tell me that they no longer supply this part.
Laddo gave me a number for the "Classic" parts dept of MB Poole.
They close at 14:00 apparently and according to the "press...
I have a 1993 W463 petrol G Wagen, fitted with a newish, subtle, Blaupunkt Toronto radio.

Thanks for all your suggestions
Here's an interesting one.
For the last couple of weeks the yellow oil light has been coming on / going off intermittently.
There's plenty of oil and the oil pressure gauge shows a solid 3 bar
Talked to my indy and it was agreed that the sensor is probably u/s
They've now fitted the correct...
Just got home after a spin in my 1995 E36 auto. Parked on drive and put it into park, turned off engine.
Went into house for garage keys and came back out and find the ignition key won't turn.
Spare key is the same
Seems like the pawl is still engaged as if the car is not in "Park"
