14 year old R230 to SW France

Interesting post for use on similar, but dog-free trips. I'm still looking for a 5.5 SL500, but keep getting distracted. A 2007 380bhp SL500 seems loopy value at half the price of a 911 or a couple of grand less than a Boxster 3.2S.

The appalling quality of the Advert photos give a clue as to the quality of the car.

Over a million quid...? And now he's spending well into six figures to restore it ? Nurse !! I'm getting the vapours again ! (I well remember "our National Sales Manager" twiddling with his 12 year old Miura in the car park of our office in the West End back in '82. T'weren't worth anything...

New Tech: I bought a copy of Classic Car last week while I was up in Scotland with not much else to do. Reminded me of just how much Car Mags have changed these last 20 years. They used to sell in huge volumes, with enthusiastic buyers waiting for each month's new issue. Interesting...

Idiots bring motorway to a standstill

YouTube Influencer pulls massive publicity stunt under a contrived excuse. Creates a ton of free publicity and new followers for his channel. Nice little earner. Somehow think that it's not something that Harry's Garage would do. .

Mitsubishi Pulling out of UK and Europe

"What took 'em so long?" They've failed to gain any serious foothold in the European market. Nice products, for sure, but you need to sell volume to make money in this global world. South East Asia is a more natural, and profitable, market for this bit of the the Nissan / Renault /...

    E63 wagon

Looks like a "nice motor." To my eyes the key point is the quality of servicing: who's done it, how often and when last done? Easy to imagine that it might have been properly done in the first five years and then scrimped in the last five, but a look at the paperwork will answer that question...

Help with finding W210 E55 LOW MILEAGE

Worth being explicit about the definition of "low mileage." For my cars, that's meant 2,000 miles a year, whereas others might think it's 5,000 a year. A twenty year old E55 with 50,000 on the clock might take six months to find, and the pricing will be a challenge. But finding an E55 with...

New member seeking like minded fans of the W211.

Welcome. Great cars: I'd still be in one today, if I could have found one with low enough mileage. Good for 250,000+ if you can be bothered to maintain them.

You only pay for driving your car in London. While it's parked up, there's no congestion charge, only a resident's permit.
