    E220 w211 2006 egr fault

If the EGR is a pain to remove just crack the retaining bolts and loosen them half a turn, then rev the engine. The exhaust pressure will loosen the EGR valve, then its is easy to remove and clean. Its a messy job, so wear gloves. Mr muscle oven cleaner works best.

Help with some om651 fault codes

I've been trying to help a friend with a w204 c220cdi solve an engine surging/erratic revs issue and need some help. I've read the codes using a star diagnostic system which has turned up the following: P019315 the rail pressure sensor has a short circuit to positive P026946 teach-in of...

Still got issues on 2007 E class estate rear self levelling air suspension.

The level sensor on the front right hand upper wishbone is for the headlight levelling only. As far as I'm aware it doesn't have input to the suspension height.

I'd suggest you jack the rear of the car up so the weight is off the rear wheels but they are just about touching the ground then activate the compressor with a jumper wire where the relay should be (between 30 and 87) . This will remove and issues relating to the height sensor. It'll just...

While the compressor is out it's worth checking the wiring between the relay and the compressor . I've read on the us forums that a lot of people have found scuffed wires around the multiplug that connector that fits onto the compressor. A quick visual check, and check continuity from the...

Still got issues on 2007 E class estate rear self levelling air suspension.

It comes complete, so nothing to swap over from the original compressor. Is there any scoring or marks on the inside surface of the cylinder head? it looks ok. mine was trashed as the filter probably hadn't been changed in 15 years. If you remove the internal spring on the old compressor...

Still got issues on 2007 E class estate rear self levelling air suspension.

I got a cheapo aftermarket compressor for £99 from eBay which works fine. I've since rebuilt the original mb one just in case it's needed later. The rebuild job is really very easy. Loads of vids on YouTube showing the job. MERCEDES E S CLASS W220 W211 C219 WABCO AIR SUSPENSION COMPRESSOR HEAD...

Still got issues on 2007 E class estate rear self levelling air suspension.

My car is the same set up with air springs only on the back for the self levelling function. When the springs release pressure it does vent back through the compressor. From what I've read, it's supposed to go back through the dessicant chamber to help dry it out before it exits. Since fitting...

Still got issues on 2007 E class estate rear self levelling air suspension.

A faulty compressor wouldn't cause the air springs to deflate. The release valve for the deflation is built into the air spring. They will only deflate if the sensor triggers them to, or they leak. In fact, to get my original air springs off I had to drill a hole in each of them to get them...

Sounds like it must be ride height sensor then? It's fixed to the rear anti roll bar. The small bar connecting the sensor to the ARB may have come loose? That's where I'd start if everything else is in order.

The relay for the compressor is in the fuse box under the bonnet. In my car its right at the back, closest to the windscreen and the outside of the car. Genuine mb ones are green and are about £13 from the dealer. You can test the compressor by jumping the sockets for pins 87 and 30 which...

Still got issues on 2007 E class estate rear self levelling air suspension.

There is no valve block if you've only got the air springs on the back for SLS. The release valves are built into the air springs, so I suspect your new air springs might have a small rupture. From the first post, it sounds like you fitted the new springs and didn't inflate them before taking...

211 Wagon 2007 E class rear air suspension down.

I'd start by checking the relay for the compressor. They are only about £15 from the dealer, and are a common fail point. If needed you can always jump sockets 30 and 87 on the relay base to see if the compressor kicks in. The splitter manifold that sends air to both springs is mounted on the...

    E320 W211 rear air shocks..

Can't think of any reason why that would be a problem. When taking the car off the jack stands I'd lower the car till the rear wheels are just touching the ground and let the engine run for a few minutes to fill the air springs before finally lowering the car back onto its own suspension.
